SELLING A SALVAGE VAN

Money

Here is a guide on selling your salvage van.

"Honesty is the best policy"

Firstly, you should always try to be as accurate as possible when advertising your vehicle and be completely honest when it comes to describing it.

Highlight all the BEST features

You should try and list as many of the van's good features as possible, if it has air-conditioning for example or a cd player, but remember to stick to what will help sell it and not just list every part of the van!

A good picture attracts attention

The most important thing to remember is to get a good photograph of the van, make sure it is clear and bright. If the van you're selling has some form of damage then don't be afraid of showing it in the pictures; people want to see what they intend on buying.

Make sure the price is right

When pricing your van, try to be competitive - if it is priced too high you may not attract any interest. Have a look at vans of a similar age and condition to get an idea of what your van may be worth.

Clean it up

If possible, try and valet your van, you may not think it but this could save you hundreds of pounds, the better a car looks the more likely you are of getting a sale. Some people may be put off if the van doesn't look like it has been looked after.
